A Part of Something Bigger - Week 3

Another week gone and done, another started. I am going to work my way backwards through this past week :) Hope you don't mind!

I also am going to start with tonight!!

Before we left for Gua we sent time in prayer and communication with God about our time down here. We wrote down and took a picture of what God had been speaking/showing  us! Some of the things that we had written down were:
  • wearing shoes of peace - finding peace and shalom amidst the chaos
  • lots of things to do with water and waves
  • the color yellow
  • Joy- bring it and joy from children
  • when we are weak, He is strong
  • Healing the sick
  • Unity
  • Humble shepherds
Tonight for debrief we went over these words and promises! We looked for ways that God has already answered our prayers. We took seriously the words and visions that He has given! God is faithful!!

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Is this not truth! Before we left we were holding on to hope that God was calling us to Guatemala! We didn't know why completely, we weren't even sure of what we were going to be doing!

Now we are into our fourth week, just starting in to half way and we have seen God answer and move in some pretty powerful ways!! He is good!

Do we do this with all of our prayers? Do we expect God to answer our one-liner prayers? Do we take God seriously when he says his word will not return void! I challenge you to read Isaiah 55!

And as a body of believers we get to do all of this together! We get to be a part of something bigger then ourselves, then our family, then our churches. We are part of God plans and his body!

So I kinda went further in to this and not so much about this past week so maybe that will be combined with a later post:) but highlight from this past week was that we got to climb a volcano :) and the Waalkes are here :)
